J. THOMAS SHERROD, a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley (B.A., 1960) and Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California (LL.B., 1963), is a recognized master of the DUI defense and the intricacies of CaliforniaÕs administrative suspension laws. He has successfully resolved more than 1,000 DUI cases throughout California and appears regularly before the California Department of Motor Vehicles on behalf of both professional and non-professional drivers to obtain the return of suspended or revoked drivers' licenses and the restoration of all driving privileges for those whose licenses have been administratively suspended for medical reasons or negligent vehicle operation.

The author of the lawyerÕs manuals CDD Attorney Sourcebookª (c. 1997); Everything You Always Wanted To Know About DMVÕs Admin Per Se Law And DidnÕt Know Who To Ask (c. 1990); and How To Write The Right Writ (c. 1991), he is also an editorial consultant for Kuwatch, California Drunk Driving Law and is listed in Martindale-HubbellÕs¨ Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyersª as a recipient of its highest attorney rating.

As a Specialist Member and permanent Director of the Association of California Deuce Defenders [CDD], California's largest association of criminal trial attorneys devoted to representing persons accused of felony and misdemeanor DUI offenses, and as a Patron member of C.P.D.A., he has trained hundreds of trial attorneys in both the San Francisco Bay and greater Los Angeles areas on the presentation of evidence in driving under the influence cases.
